Description
The mold pattern is removed once the gating and pattern system are created. It is no longer required as the sand has already taken the mold’s shape. Molten metal, once it is removed, can be poured into the mold cavity. To use various types of metals including aluminum, zinc, steel, tin, bronze, and iron, sand casting allows a manufacturer. The metal used may need to be heated to over 3000 Fahrenheit or degrees and depends on the product to melt it and get it to flow easily.
