In patients with a history of Rh isoimmunization like mothers with negative blood groups and develop antibodies against positive blood groups, there are risks involved to the unborn baby in the form of developing fetal anemia. So, if the pregnant mother has a negative blood group or has developed Rh isoimmunization, then few of the fetuses may require blood in-utero. The procedure is called intrauterine transfusion. If you are pregnant and have a Rh-negative blood group or had developed Rh isoimmunization, then, consult Dr. Neha Gupta (Fetal Medicine Doctor in Noida)
