Responsibilities:
Production Execution & Shift Planning: Manage daily production activities on designated lines, efficiently allocating workforce teams to meet stringent shift goals while adhering to print requirements.
Line Balancing & Bottleneck Optimisation: To maximise flow and reduce operator idle periods, examine manufacturing cycle times, locate process bottlenecks, and modify line balance settings.
Reducing Setup Time and Mastering Changeovers: Utilise Single-Minute Exchange of Die procedures to expedite mould, tool, or fixture changeover processes on the shop floor and reduce asset downtime.
Material Coordination & Work-in-Progress (WIP) Regulation: Work with warehouse teams to maintain stringent limitations on WIP inventories while ensuring lean material flow to workstations and avoiding lineside shortages.
Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement: Use lean techniques to reduce production waste, increase yield, and enhance overall equipment effectiveness.

Required Skills:
Shop Floor Leadership & Labour Coordination: Excellent ability to inspire teams of workers, oversee shifts, deal with fluctuations in attendance, and uphold a strict, secure work environment.
Process Routing & Engineering Drawing Interpretation: Strong proficiency in reading industrial blueprints, comprehending assembly sequence layouts, deciphering bills of materials, and carrying out directions for process routing.
Lean production Tools & Diagnostics: Excellent hands-on experience with fundamental lean techniques to compute production throughputs, identify process waste, and create visual management boards.
Techniques for Solving Problems: knowledge of how to apply structured engineering methods (such 5-Why analysis, cause-and-effect mappings, or simple statistical control charts) to resolve abrupt line deviations.
