Plant Maintenance Engineer Engineering Excellence
Job Description
Duties:
Maintenance and Troubleshooting of Manufacturing Machinery: Conduct methodical mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting on vital industrial machinery.
Preventive and Total Productive Maintenance: To avoid unplanned malfunctions, implement, improve, and audit autonomous and preventive maintenance schedules, autonomous maintenance pillar standards, and lubrication procedures for all shop floor assets.
Emergency Breakdown Recovery & RCA: Oversee quick emergency reaction in the event of equipment failure, safely resuming operations while carrying out organised RCA to put long-term engineering countermeasures in place.
Predictive maintenance and condition monitoring: To identify component deterioration before catastrophic failure, keep an eye on machinery health indicators such as vibration levels, heat profiles, noise anomalies, oil contamination levels, and electrical motor loads.
Inventory of spare parts and asset management: Maintain bills of materials for important equipment, identify essential machine spares, control safety stock levels, and work with suppliers to arrange for specialised component overhauls.

Focus Skills:
Mechanical and Fluid Power Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of industrial hydraulics (pumps, valves, cylinders), gearboxes, spindle assemblies, bearings, alignment procedures, and pneumatic systems.
Electrical and Automation Troubleshooting: Proficient in reading electrical schematics, troubleshooting motor controls, sensors, VFDs, relays, 3-phase power circuits, and basic PLC I/O status diagnostics.
TPM and Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM): hands-on experience with condition-based monitoring, 5S on shop floors, TPM pillars, and important maintenance metrics calculations.
Analysis of Root Causes and Solving Issues: shown ability to solve mechanical and electrical problems using structured problem-solving frameworks (5-Why, 8D, Cause-and-Effect diagrams).
