An IAS Officer is a well-respected government official who is given administrative command of a complete district and is usually called a neighborhood Collector. They also represent the govt. of India at the international level in bilateral and unilateral, multilateral negotiations. IAS Officers become Secretaries of the state government once they reach the choice Grade.
