Job Description
The main 'Field Technical Anchor' and 'Customer Equipment Reliability Guardian' of our company is the Service Engineer for Manufacturing Industries (Field Operations, Customer Equipment Maintenance & Technical Support Specialist). Your main responsibility is to represent our company at customer sites by installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintaining, and servicing our manufactured machinery, equipment, and industrial systems, while production engineers oversee plant throughput and internal plant maintenance engineers manage factory machinery. Pre-commissioning readiness inspections, field machinery installations, routine preventive maintenance (PM), sophisticated electro-mechanical breakdown diagnosis, client operator training, and field warranty and service level agreement (SLA) compliance are all included in this.
Responsibilities:
Equipment Installation & Commissioning: At client production locations, oversee the on-site installation, levelling, wiring, assembly, integration, and commissioning of industrial machinery while making sure that all safety regulations and engineering blueprints are fully followed.
Field Troubleshooting & Emergency Breakdown Repair: In order to restore client machine operations, respond quickly to emergency field service calls by conducting quick root-cause diagnosis and electro-mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC/drive repairs.
Preventive Maintenance & Field Service Contracts: Arrange and carry out planned preventive maintenance visits in accordance with yearly maintenance contracts, assessing wear and tear, calibrating machine sensors, swapping out important parts and updating firmware.
Technical assistance and training for customer operators: Educate client engineers and machine operators on proper equipment operation, safety procedures, regular cleaning, and fundamental first-level troubleshooting methods.
Skills:
Advanced practical skills in reading electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics, tracing wiring errors, troubleshooting motor drives and diagnosing mechanical power transmission assemblies are all part of Electro-Mechanical & Technical Diagnostics.
Industrial Automation & Controller Literacy: The ability to examine, backup, and troubleshoot sensor networks, PLC controllers, and HMI touchscreens.
Customer Handling & Field Communication: Strong written and verbal communication abilities to effectively explain technical issues to client plant management and remain composed under pressure when a breakdown occurs.
Proficiency with multimeters, insulation testers, dial indicators, torque wrenches, alignment tools, and specialised field diagnostic equipment are examples of field safety and tooling expertise.
