Job Description:
Our plastics manufacturing division's main "Quality Standards Anchor" and "Production Compliance Guardian" is the Quality Assurance Engineer-Injection Moulding. Your main task is to make sure that every moulded component complies with precise engineering blueprints, customer design standards, and stringent dimensional tolerances, while production engineers concentrate on reaching cycle-time figures and machine throughput metrics. This includes overseeing raw material inspection, controlling first-part approval loops, establishing statistical process control barriers, overseeing cleanroom or shop floor compliance, and spearheading structural root-cause investigations. As the "Guardian of Part Dimensional Accuracy, Mould Shrinkage Control, Scrap Minimisation Rates, Customer Reject Variances, and Calibration Registry Integrity," you assume direct execution responsibility for converting ISO standards and corporate quality manuals into workable, audit-ready daily manufacturing procedures.

Key Skills:
A thorough understanding of polymer behaviours, mould shrinkage variables, and how process parameters directly affect structural faults is necessary for plastic injection moulding defect diagnostics.
Advanced Metrology Tools & Blueprint Literacy: High proficiency using CMM or optical scanning equipment, applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing standards, and interpreting intricate engineering drawings.
Structured Problem-Solving Methodologies: Complete capacity to oversee formal non-conformance reports, create thorough 8D summaries, and lead structured corrective and preventive action cycles.
Strong grasp of statistical processing principles, monitoring control limits, conducting gauge repeatability and reproducibility studies, and calculating process capability indices are all examples of statistical quality software and analytical toolkits.
