Source and Process Quality Monitoring QC Engineer
Job Description
Duties:
arriving Material Inspection & AQL Verification: To guarantee strict adherence to supplier engineering agreements, conduct thorough inspections on arriving raw materials, cast parts, fasteners, and components utilising sampling plans.
In-Process and First-Piece Validation: Before clearing volume assembly activities, perform structured line audits and first-piece inspections at manufacturing milestones to confirm setup parameters, machining dimensions, and operator procedures.
Physical Testing & Metrology Validation: To verify product tolerances, use precise engineering measuring tools such as digital micrometres, vernier callipers, thread gauges, dial indicators, hardness testers, and coating thickness gauges.
Rework Auditing & Line Clearance: Before granting final line clearance, oversee and re-examine authorised product rework operations to make sure that corrected units fully comply with secondary engineering criteria.
Defect Containment & Material Review Board (MRB) Logging: Tag and relocate failed batches to quarantine zones, isolate non-conforming materials immediately, issue official Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), and take part in MRB reviews to determine scrap, rework, or return actions.
Gauge Calibration & Tool Maintenance: To avoid reading shifts on the line, keep track of the factory's instrument calibration logs and conduct regular accuracy checks on metrology tools and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).

Metrology & Blueprint for Precision Engineering Literacy: The exceptional ability to read intricate industrial designs, decipher Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing symbols, and accurately utilise handheld measurement instruments.
Techniques for Material Inspection and Defect Diagnostics: Excellent capacity to identify physical engineering defects in different composite, plastic, or metal lines.
Protocols for Isolating Non-Conformance and Monitoring Rework: a thorough comprehension of physical product labelling techniques, product quarantine borders, and organised non-conforming lot tracking procedures.
Fundamental Ideas of Statistical Quality: practical knowledge of how to evaluate batch sampling distributions, interpret simple control charts, and examine parts distribution curves.
