The Allahabad Fort, also known as the Prayagraj Fort, is a historic fort in Prayagraj (previously Allahabad), Uttar Pradesh. It was built in 1583 AD by Mughal emperor Akbar. The Allahabad fort is located on the banks of the Yamuna River near the confluence of the Ganges River and displays ancient and Mughal-style architecture.
