Access Door
Superior extruded aluminium profiled structure provides stiffness and resistance to corrosion in the frame.
A second structure surrounds the door to provide it stability.
Aluminium sheet, 1 mm thick, is used to make the door panel.
A 2 mm thick neoprene gasket surrounds the frame to prevent leaks and lessen noise infiltration.
For acoustic and thermal insulation, door panels can be optionally insulated with 25 mm thick, 24 or 48 Kg/m3 density open cell.
When duct access is needed, access doors provide a quick and simple installation process.
Materials: Depending on the intended use and specifications, access doors are often made of materials like gypsum board, aluminium, stainless steel, galvanised steel, or plastic. Aesthetic concerns, fire rating, durability, and corrosion resistance can all influence the material choice.
Types: To meet a range of demands, access doors are available in a variety of types and combinations. Hinged doors, doors with removable panels, flush-mount doors, fire-rated doors, and ceiling access doors are examples of common types. For added security, hinged doors can be equipped with locks or latches, and removable panels can be fastened with screws or clips.
Sizes: To meet a variety of apertures and access needs, access doors come in a variety of sizes. Typical dimensions are 6 by 6 inches, 8 by 8 inches, 12 by 12 inches, and bigger; however, custom sizes can also be made to match particular measurements.
Installation: Although they can be adapted into already-existing structures, access doors are usually installed during a building’s construction or renovation. Cutting a hole in the wall or ceiling, putting the access door frame inside, fastening it, and completing the surrounding area as necessary are some of the steps in the installation procedure.
Applications: HVAC systems, plumbing, electricity, ducting, ceiling spaces, and walls are just a few of the many applications for access doors. For the purpose of carrying out jobs like equipment servicing, inspections, repairs, and installs, they offer technicians, maintenance staff, and inspectors easy access.
Fire Rating: To preserve the integrity of the fire barrier, access doors may need to adhere to strict fire rating criteria in some applications, such as those involving fire-rated walls or ceilings. The materials and designs used in the construction of fire-rated access doors offer resistance to smoke and fire penetration for a predetermined amount of time, usually expressed in hours.
