Description
A Pre-Sales Associate bridges the gap between potential customers and the sales team. They are responsible for qualifying leads, understanding client needs, delivering product demonstrations, and assisting in the preparation of custom proposals. Their ultimate goal is to generate qualified opportunities and ensure a seamless handover to the closing team.
Responsibilities
Lead Qualification: Engage with inbound/outbound leads via calls, chat, and email; assess the prospect's budget, timeline, and requirements to determine if they are a viable sales opportunity.
Product Demonstrations: Showcase product features, capabilities, and business value through tailored presentations and walkthroughs.
Needs Assessment:
Analyze customer pain points and formulate technical or business solutions that align with the prospect's goals.
Proposal Assistance: Help draft Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) documents, technical scopes, and pricing estimates.
Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer interactions, feedback, and opportunity stages in the company CRM (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho, HubSpot).Requirements and Qualifications
Education: A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 0–3 years of experience in sales, pre-sales, telesales, or customer support.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple, business-friendly language.
Technical Aptitude: A strong understanding of the company's product portfolio and the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
Interpersonal Skills: Empathy, active listening, and the ability to build quick rapport with prospective clients.
