Sociology helps students understand social institutions, social change, inequality, and other important aspects of society. For UPSC aspirants, studying these concepts alongside contemporary developments can provide a broader understanding of the subject. IAS Gurukul offers a Sociology Optional Classroom Course that includes current affairs linkages as part of its teaching approach.

The course is designed to help students develop conceptual clarity through beginner-friendly explanations and comprehensive syllabus coverage. This structure can help aspirants organise their studies and build a clearer understanding of the subject.

By connecting Sociology concepts with current affairs, the programme encourages students to consider the practical relevance of the theories and topics they study. This approach can support a more contextual understanding of Sociology during UPSC preparation.

Regular doubt-clearing support gives students opportunities to clarify concepts and discuss topics they find difficult. The programme also provides classroom teaching with LIVE online access.
