Focus Skills:
Production Operations & Line Management: Excellent operational knowledge of line balance, shift capacity utilisation, and shop-floor manufacturing workflows (assembly, CNC machining, stamping, moulding, or fabrication).
Cycle Time & Work-Study Analysis: The ability to do time-and-motion studies, compute line efficiency, create line layouts, and set standard time baselines.
Practical understanding of 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), SMED setup reduction, Poka-Yoke design, and OEE optimisation frameworks are examples of Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement Tools.
Shop-Floor Problem solutions: The capacity to quickly fix line stoppages and operational disturbances through line-level root cause problem solutions (5-Why Analysis, Fishbone diagrams, 8D confinement).
