Job Description:
The main "Surface Quality Anchor" and "Coating Process Guardian" of our actual manufacturing facilities is the Paintshop manufacturing Engineer - Manufacturing Industries. Your main responsibility is to supervise, optimise, and maintain the pretreatment, electro-deposition, primer, topcoat, clearcoat, and curing oven operations across the paintshop, while mechanical assembly teams handle structural components and stamping teams process raw sheet metal. This includes controlling automated robotic spray lines, keeping an eye on chemical bath concentrations, auditing paint film thickness, adjusting application parameter windows, and getting rid of finish flaws. As the "Guardian of First Time Through Yield, Coating Integrity, Colour Consistency, Environmental Emissions Compliance, and Paintshop Line Uptime," you assume direct execution responsibility for converting complex technical standards, coating specifications, and chemical bath parameters into highly repeatable, audit-ready daily manufacturing outputs.

Key Skills:
Surface Preparation & Coating Chemistry: In-depth knowledge of conversion coatings, cathodic electro-deposition, solvent-borne/water-borne paint systems, powder coatings, and metal/plastic pretreatment procedures.
Electrostatic parameter tuning and robotic spraying: The ability to operate and program electrostatic bell atomisers and robotic spray applicators.
Metrology and Coating Testing Hardware: Proficiency with paint testing tools such as digital DFT gauges, colorimeters, gloss meters, cross-hatch adhesion testers, and orange peel meters (Wave-scan).
HVAC, Air Handling, and Cleanroom Environmental management: Excellent understanding of laminar air flow dynamics, paint booth air balance, humidity management, and cleanroom filtration classifications.
