Job Description:
The main "Financial Reconciliation Anchor" and "Cash Flow Integrity Guardian" for our healthcare billing operations is the Payment Posting Executive - Medical Billing & Revenue Cycle Management (Remittance Processing, Cash Reconciliation & ERA/EOB Posting Specialist). Your main responsibility is to precisely post, balance, and reconcile all incoming healthcare payments, contractual write-offs, copays, deductibles, and co-insurance amounts into the Practice Management software while medical coders submit claims and AR callers follow up on outstanding balances. This includes identifying secondary insurance billing opportunities, processing automated Electronic Remittance Advices, manually entering paper Explanations of Benefits, balancing electronic funds transfers and physical checks against bank deposits, and assigning uncollectable balances to patient responsibility.

Key Skills:
US Healthcare Payment Posting & Remittance Processing: Comprehensive understanding of lockbox deposits, EFT processing, EOB/ERA structures, and secondary insurance billing procedures for both commercial and government payers.
CARC/RARC Code Literacy & Contractual Adjustments: Accurate knowledge of contractual write-offs vs patient liability along with a thorough comprehension of Claim Adjustment Reason Codes (CARCs) and Remittance Advice Remark Codes (RARCs).
High-Speed Numerical Data Entry & 10-Key Mastery: Outstanding accuracy and speed in batch processing, line-item payment posting, and numeric data entry with low mistake rates.
Software for Medical Billing and Practice Management Knowledge: Practical experience posting payments within clearinghouses and Practice Management (PM) platforms (Availity, Change Healthcare).
