Responsibilities:
Process large amounts of electronic remittances using ERA and manual EOB payment posting. Payments from Explanation of Benefits statements for private, commercial, and governmental payers are advised in batches and manually posted.
Patient Cash Application & Copay Allocation: Post copays, coinsurance, deductibles, and self-pay amounts to the relevant patient ledgers; accurately apply patient payments received through credit cards, checks, electronic portals, and lockbox accounts.
Processing of Contractual Adjustment and Write-off: In compliance with provider agreements and RCM rules, confirm fee schedules and apply contractual allowances, authorised changes, contractual write-offs, and administrative write-offs.
Identification and Routing of Denial Codes: When posting, accurately record claim denial codes, tag unpaid or partially paid claims right away, and forward them to the Accounts Receivable follow-up team for appeal.

Required Skills:
EOB/ERA Interpretation & Medical Billing Expertise: Excellent comprehension of complex EOBs, ERAs, ANSI rejection codes, line-item payment distributions, and patient responsibility breakdowns.
US Healthcare RCM & Payer Knowledge: Good knowledge of commercial fee schedules, Medicare/Medicaid billing regulations, primary, secondary, and tertiary insurance regulations, and contractual write-off structures.
Data input Speed & Financial Accuracy: To guarantee 100% financial accuracy across high transaction volumes, high numerical data input speed is paired with painstaking attention to detail.
Practice management literacy and medical billing software: practical knowledge of the main RCM and practice management systems.
