Established in 1936 as Hailey National Park and later renamed in honor of the legendary hunter-turned-conservationist Jim Corbett, the Corbett Tiger Reserve is a crown jewel of Indian wildlife tourism. Spanning over 500 square kilometers, the reserve is home to Bengal tigers, wild elephants, leopards, crocodiles, deer, and more than 600 species of birds.
But what makes this place truly magical is its diversity of landscapes—dense sal forests, wide riverbanks, expansive grasslands, and hilly terrains—all packed into a single ecosystem. It’s this dynamic environment that gives rise to the multiple tourism zone in Corbett National Park, each offering its own unique appeal.
