The Tourism Zone in Corbett National Park is divided into several regions, with Dhikala being the largest and most ecologically rich. The Dhikala Zone is situated deep within the Corbett Tiger Reserve, offering lush grasslands, dense Sal forests, riverbeds, and abundant wildlife. It is considered the best zone for wildlife sightings, especially for spotting the majestic Bengal tiger in its natural habitat.

The Dhikala Canter safari in Corbett is the only authorized way for day visitors to enter this core area without booking an overnight stay at the Dhikala Forest Lodge. Conducted in 16-seater open vehicles called canters, this safari is managed by the forest department and provides access to the untouched wilderness of the Dhikala zone.
