Job Description
The main 'Production Integration Anchor' and 'Hands-on Fitting Specialist' in each of our manufacturing and assembly plant facilities is the Mechanical/Assembly Line Assembler-Manufacturing & Mechanical Operations (Component Assembly, Blueprint Interpretation & Precision Fitting Specialist). Your main responsibility is to construct, assemble, align, fit, and test mechanical sub-assemblies, electronic components, structural frameworks, and completed industrial products in accordance with engineering drawings and standard operating procedures, while quality control inspectors complete final sign-offs and manufacturing engineers design product flows.
Key Duties
Mechanical and Electrical Component Assembly: Use manual hand tools, pneumatic torque wrenches, riveting equipment, solders, and precision measurement tools to assemble intricate mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electrical components.
Blueprint & Engineering Schematic Interpretation: To guarantee proper assembly sequences and fitment, accurately read and interpret mechanical blueprints, exploded-view drawings, wiring schematics, work instructions, and bill of materials (BOM).
Alignment, Fitting, and Testing: Prior to downstream manufacturing steps, perform precision fitting, alignment, clearance checks, and basic functional, leak, and pressure testing on sub-assemblies.
Quality Verification and Defect Identification: To prevent line faults, segregate non-conforming goods, identify defective components or thread damage, and self-inspect completed parts against quality standards.
Tooling & Equipment Maintenance: Check assigned pneumatic guns, torque-calibrated tools, jigs, fixtures, and station equipment on a daily basis and perform basic maintenance.
