Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Journal Analyst to review, analyze, and maintain financial journal entries and accounting records. The candidate should have good knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and data analysis with strong attention to accuracy and detail.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and process journal entries accurately and on time.
Verify supporting documents and ensure proper accounting treatment.
Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Analyze financial transactions and identify unusual or incorrect entries.
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
Support internal and external audit requirements.
Prepare financial reports and analysis as required.
Coordinate with finance and accounting teams to resolve accounting issues.
Maintain proper records of adjustments, accruals, provisions, and reclassifications.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and data accuracy.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Good knowledge of accounting principles and journal entries.
Understanding of general ledger, reconciliation, accruals, provisions, and financial reporting.
Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software.
Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms is preferred.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a team.
