Description
We are hiring CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television) Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of video surveillance and security systems. They ensure that cameras, recording devices (DVRs/NVRs), and network infrastructure operate efficiently to secure homes, businesses, and public spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Setup: Conduct site surveys to determine optimal camera placement, lay low-voltage cabling, and install physical cameras, monitors, and recording equipment.System Configuration: Configure IP cameras, set up network connections, and install surveillance software like Video Management Systems (VMS).Maintenance: Perform routine system inspections, test camera feeds, and update firmware to ensure optimal performance and security.Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose hardware and software issues (e.g., loss of power, video signal drops, or network conflicts) and repair or replace faulty components.Data Management: Manage video storage, retention policies, and ensure compliance with local privacy and data protection laws.User Training: Educate clients or security personnel on how to operate the system, review footage, and extract video evidence.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical certifications (e.g., in electronics, networking, or specific security hardware) are a major advantage.Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of IP networking, low-voltage electrical systems, and CCTV hardware (Analog, IP, and PTZ cameras).Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical tasks like climbing ladders, working at heights, and operating in confined spaces.Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and customer service skills when dealing with clients.
