Job Description

We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Billing Specialist – Medical Billing to join our healthcare finance team. The Billing Specialist will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accurate invoicing, handling insurance claims, and resolving billing-related inquiries. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the financial health of the organization while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, review, and submit medical bills and invoices to insurance companies, patients, and other stakeholders.

Verify insurance details, coverage, and payment information to ensure accurate billing.

Handle denied or rejected claims by investigating and resolving issues with insurance providers.

Respond to billing inquiries from patients, providers, and internal teams in a timely and professional manner.

Ensure compliance with healthcare billing guidelines, regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in healthcare administration, finance, or related field is preferred.

Prior experience in medical billing, coding, or healthcare finance is an advantage.

Good knowledge of insurance processes, claim submission, and billing regulations.

Proficiency in billing software and MS Excel or similar tools.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

Location: Chennai

Experience: 3 to 5 years

Salary: Above 30k per month
