Job Description
Duties:
Backend API & Microservices Development: Using contemporary Python frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask), create, construct, and implement scalable, secure RESTful APIs and backend services while following async design patterns and clean architecture.
Data Pipeline & ETL Engineering: Create, automate, and optimise ETL pipelines and high-throughput data processing workflows to handle both structured and unstructured datasets.
Designing relational and non-relational database models, creating efficient SQL queries, overseeing database migrations, and utilising ORMs are all part of database management and ORM integration.
System Automation & Tooling: To optimise operational workflows, continuous integration runs, and cross-platform data synchronisation, create custom automation scripts, internal tooling, and web scrapers/bots.
Code review, testing, and quality control: Using PyTest, Unittest, and Mock libraries, maintain thorough unit and integration test coverage while imposing stringent static analysis criteria to remove technical debt.

Focus Skills:
Python Ecosystem Mastery: Advanced knowledge of OOP concepts, functional paradigms, async/await patterns, memory management, and package management tools (Poetry, Pipenv) in contemporary Python (3.10+).
Web Frameworks & API Architecture: Proficiency in using FastAPI, Django REST Framework (DRF), or Flask to develop and document high-performance Web APIs (OpenAPI/Swagger).
Strong proficiency in writing raw SQL, managing ORMs, optimising index performance, and using distributed caching layers are all part of database design and caching strategies.
Task Queues & Asynchronous Processing: Practical experience with Celery, Redis, or message brokers like RabbitMQ and Apache Kafka to implement asynchronous background task processing.
