Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), one of India's top private universities, offers first-rate graduate and postgraduate education. NMIMS was established in 1981 by Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM), which is 2003 gave it the status of "Deemed to be University." NMIMS was initially founded as a management school but has now grown to include programs in engineering, science, pharmacy, business, the arts, and design. The university currently operates out of the following eight campuses: Mumbai, Bengaluru, Shirpur, Hyderabad, Indore, Navi Mumbai, Dhule, and Chandigarh.
