For pursuing an MBA, there is no such year gap for the students. So, after taking a year off after my graduation, it is quite acceptable to pursue an MBA. You shouldn't worry at all about your one-year gap after graduation because many students take a year off after graduation to prepare for the MBA without entrance exam, pass it with flying colors, and get into their dream B-school. Many students also take a job after graduation and then apply for an MBA after two to three years.
