The Everest Base Camp trek is a roughly two-week hike through the Khumbu region of Nepal, ending at the foot of the world's highest mountain. Most people fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,860 m), then walk about 130 km round trip along the Dudh Koshi valley, passing Sherpa villages like Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, and Dingboche.
