Dr Raman Deshpande

Dr. Raman Deshpande is a renowned oncologist and bone marrow transplant specialist based in Mumbai, India. With over 25 years of experience in the field of haematology and oncology, Dr Deshpande is considered one of the foremost experts in stem cell transplants and the treatment of blood cancers in the country. After completing his MBBS and MD in Internal Medicine from Grant Medical College in Mumbai, Dr. Deshpande pursued a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology from the prestigious Royal Marsden Hospital in London. On returning to India, he joined the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Tata Memorial Hospital where he honed his skills in the emerging field of transplants.

Over the years, Dr. Deshpande has performed over 1000 successful bone marrow transplants encompassing both allogeneic and autologous procedures. He specializes in transplants for high-risk patients as well as alternative donor transplants for patients lacking matched-related donors.
