JD:

Qualification: Post-Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Product Design, Tool Design, and Molding Design

Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in product design

Roles and Responsibilities:
Design mechanical components for electro-mechanical assemblies such as electrical relays, actuators, enclosures, or moulded parts.
Create 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD).
Participate in product conceptualization, prototyping, and iterative design improvements.
Support prototype fabrication and validation activities.
Perform basic mechanical calculations for fit, strength, tolerances, and thermal behaviour.
Generate engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation for internal reviews and manufacturing handover.
Maintain version control and data management in PLM systems.
Apply knowledge of plastic and metal material properties and processes (injection moulding, stamping, etc.).
Ensure design feasibility for manufacturing and assembly (DFM/DFA). Assist in preparing test plans, fixtures, and procedures for mechanical validation (e.g., drop tests, endurance testing, vibration)
