Chardham Yatra Yamonatri Gangotri Kedarnath and Badrinath

The Chardham Yatra, also known as the journey to the four sacred sites, is a pilgrimage circuit in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Kedarnath: This destination is home to one of the twelve Jyotirlingas (lingams of light) of Lord Shiva. The Kedarnath Temple is nestled amidst the Garhwal Himalayan range at an elevation of about 3,583 meters (11,755 feet) above sea level. Badrinath: The last stop on the circuit is Badrinath, which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is situated along the Alaknanda River at an altitude of approximately 3,133 meters (10,279 feet) above sea level. The Chardham Yatra is not just a physical journey but also a spiritual one, believed to cleanse the soul of sins and pave the way for salvation (moksha). The yatra usually starts from Yamunotri and proceeds clockwise to Gangotri, Kedarnath, and finally Badrinath.
