UVA and UVB rays penetrate the body, damaging cells and collagen. This directly affects the skin. Hence, it is essential to protect the skin.
How to Protect Your Skin from Harmful Sun Rays :
1. Use Sunscreen Every Day
To protect yourself from the sun, we should use a high quality sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30. It should be applied before going out and reapplied every 2-3 hours.
It is applied to the ears and nose, as it also protects against the sun's rays.
2. Wear Protective Clothing
Clothes are a powerful barrier against UV rays. Before going out in the sun, choose clothes that can protect the body from UV rays.
Such as:
Light-coloured clothes
Full-sleeved clothes
UV-protective sunglasses
3. Follow a Natural Skincare Routine
A well-crafted skincare routine can help you achieve a natural glow. Using a nature-based product for skin care will help protect your skin from damage.
Tips:
Sandalwood paste- Reduces tan and sunburn.
Aloe Vera Gel - Moisturises the skin and protects it from sunburn.
Cucumber Juice- Cools skin and reduces inflammation.
Turmeric and Yogurt Face Pack- Reduces sun tan naturally.
4. Seek shade, especially during peak hours
UV rays cause the most skin damage between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., as these are the times when UV rays are strongest.
Tips:
Try to use umbrellas and shade trees when you're outdoors.
Apply sunscreen before going out and reapply every 2 hours.
Avoid going out between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
5. Hydrate and Moisturise Your Skin
Excessive sun exposure can cause dry and dull skin.
Eat nutritious foods, such as cucumber, carrot
These keep your skin healthy and act as a shield for the skin
Drink 7-8 glasses of water daily for healthy skin.
Use a sunscreen that keeps the skin hydrated.
6. Avoid Tanning Beds and Artificial UV Exposure
Tanning beds are devices that can darken a person's skin using artificial ultraviolet light, leading to a sun tan. While they might seem tempting for an instant glow, they are harmful in the long run.

Promotes uneven skin tone
