The video game Minecraft, where players can create anything using blocks, has been used as a tool to teach worship to younger generations. Becky Dyball, a preacher in Sawtry (Cambridgeshire), joined the game as an innovative way to share Bible stories. She was able to add her boss, the Bishop from Ely, to the game with the help of her relatives. "The idea... was born out of a desire to engage the children... and excite their about collective worship," she said to BBC Radio Cambridgeshire. The Right Reverend Stephen Conway (Bishop of Ely) said that he was so pleased to have been able to share Bible stories and the good word of Jesus in a new way.
