A calcaneum fracture (broken heel bone) is one of the most serious foot injuries. It happens when the heel is crushed under pressure during a fall or motor accident. This injury can take a long time to heal if not treated properly. At Olwen Hospital, we use X-rays and CT scans to diagnose the fracture and provide both nonsurgical and surgical treatments depending on the severity.
