It was the creation of architects Sir Edwin Lutyens (who conceptualized the H-Shaped building) and Herbert Baker. The Rashtrapati Bhavan was built using 1 billion bricks and 3,000,000 cu ft (85,000 m3) of stone with little steel, and it consists of four floors and 340 rooms.
