Hospital HR: With your medical background, you’d be specialised in human resource management for primarily medical staff. With good exposure and work, the ladder is quite encouraging.
Hospital marketing and sales: You’d be involved in marketing, sales and promotions of the hospital services. You’d be closely working with doctors and other healthcare workers to design and implement marketing strategies.
Hospital Operations: You would be involved in managing operations and also day to day running of hospital. This is a very exhaustive role and it starts from managing a single area or floor of the hospital to managing hospital chains. You are supposed to see that all work goes as planned.
Medical administration: This is something where only doctors get in. You would be entrusted with developing medical SOPs and policies and their implementations. Medico-legal, Ethical and Legal compliance are managed by persons in this role.
Quality: You would be entrusted with maintaining of clinical and non-clinical quality in the hospital. It means compliance to NABH and JCI norms, infection control practices, clinical quality management etc. A training certificate from NABH or JCI would be added benefit.
Projects: You would be entrusted with creating Hospitals or areas of hospital and get them running. This involves the entire design to implementation of hospitals.
