In order to build substantial muscle it is best to do a larger number of repetitions at a medium weight. No matter what your training regime, there are three exercises which have been proven time and time again to build strength, condition and bulk. Push yourself to near failure. Try starting off with a heavier weight and doing 15 repetitions, if you fatigue and reach failure bring it down to 13 reps in your second set and 11 reps in your last set. Each time you should attempt a maximum effort.
Train at least three times a week. This is entirely dependant on your body and your metabolism so make sure you do enough to see maximum results.
