         What you will become in life is decided by the orientation that you have. There are so many things you can take up as an occupation but what is important is to know whether you can do it, whether you are cut out for that occupation or not. Not everyone is lucky enough to have the exact occupation as he or she wants. But finding out the right occupation is important for only then you will be able to render to your best ability. Whether you are a painter or a photographer, your success rate will be measured by the drive in you. If you have the drive for a particular occupation, it will take your far.

        The responsibilities of a “marine engineer” are varied. Right from supervising that the engine of the ship functions smoothly to up gradation, repair, maintenance, and ensuring that all related machinery is working fine falls within the purview of the duties of a marine engineer. However, the spectrum of their responsibilities has widened even further these days. Also to a considerable extent the safety of the crew and sailors lies in their hands.

    Eligibility Criteria for Admission into Marine Engineering Course
        In order to pursue a career in “marine engineering” at the bachelor’s level, a student is required to qualify in class XII with Mathematics, English, Physics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.
       Students who have already qualified in B.E in “Marine Engineering” are eligible for enrolling for M.E in “Marine Engineering”. The bachelor’s degree is of 4 years duration and Master program is of 2 years duration.
       In addition to the academic requirements, students should also possess sound physical health and the height of the candidate should be not less than 150 cm, chest expansion should be 5 cm, and eyesight should be 6/6.

      1. “Marine Engineering ” - 4 Year

      2.B.Sc (“Nautical Science”) - Deck Cadet Course (3 years)

      3.Diploma “Nautical Science” (DNS) - Deck Cadet Course (1 year)

      4.”General Purpose Rating” (GP) - 6 months

      5.B.Tech (“Naval Architecture”) - 4 years
