Description
Coratia Technologies is advancing India’s underwater robotics capabilities with a new ₹18 crore bridge funding round led by MGF Kavachh. The funding will support the company’s Indian Navy programme, research and development, and expansion of manufacturing and deployment capabilities.
Based in Rourkela, Odisha, Coratia develops indigenous remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROVs) and robotic systems for defence, industrial inspection and critical infrastructure applications.
Its underwater robotics solutions are designed to support demanding operations such as ship-hull cleaning, minor salvage, and inspection of submerged structures. These technologies also have applications in inspecting pipelines, dams, ports, offshore assets and other underwater infrastructure.
The latest funding milestone supports Coratia’s efforts to strengthen its core engineering capabilities and expand the deployment of Indian-developed underwater robotic systems. The company is also working to advance sensing, navigation, autonomy and underwater inspection capabilities for challenging marine environments.
With a focus on indigenous engineering and practical industrial applications, Coratia Technologies is contributing to the development of India’s underwater technology ecosystem.
