Satopanth Lake trek is a trek in Uttarkhand at high altitude to the remote Garhwal Himalayan part of Badrinath near to Saraswati River between Badrinath and Rishikesh. The walk begins at Mana Village and traverses the craggy valleys, streams and upland, boulder free areas. In the process, one can also go through the picturesque scene of a lofty peak like Neelkanth and Chaukhamba when the weather is clear. The most prominent feature of it is that Satopanth Lake is a quiet lake in the hilly terrain, surrounded by the tall mountains. There are a number of steep climbs, very rough and high level section of track and fitness and acclimatization before tackling the track is a must. For the more adventurous trekker it is best to do so in more relaxed settings of the Himalaya.
