In Vitro Fertilization is the process where a women’s eggs are fertilized outside the body then placed back inside her body to help her get pregnant. IVF may be performed if a women faces trouble in getting pregnant, a condition called ‘infertility’. Before IVF, a women will receive fertility medication that will lead to production of more than one egg to grow and mature in the ovaries. The women’s partner will than provide semen sample as to achieve the healthiest sperm for fertilization. If the male partner is infertile/sterile a donor may be arranged in such cases.
