Indian Silk House has a legacy of four generation spinning silk into gold and hence is the most vintage collection of good old silk. Shri Rishabhchand, in 1926 came up front with this idea of threading the house silk of India after Mahatma Gandhi started the Non-Cooperation movement. With the gold name, our brand is associated with famous personalities like Nargis, Supriya Devi, Chhabi Biswas, Sarat Chandra Bose, P.C. Sorcar senior, for styling them with appropriateness. Our base in this textile industry has grown over the years and hence, our focus is on exclusivity merged with a contemporary style, which reflects on the collection kept in our new South Kolkata store, opened by our third generation. But, no matter how many stores we open, we still stick to the philosophy of making the perfect silk creations like that of the early days. Our specialities include: Art, Assam, Baluchari, Benarasi, Bomkai, Chanderi, Dupion, Gadwal, Garad, Kanchipuram, Katan, Kota, Kora, Maheshwari, Patola, Printed, Pochampally, South, Tussar, Upada, and more.
