This faithful recreation of the Trans Am Championship winning 1967 Mustang was built for Rick and Patti Sue Titus as a tribute to Rick’s father, Jerry, “MR. Trans AM,” by Greg Reynolds and John Brown of Reynolds Restorations, Yukon, Oklahoma and was featured as a cover story in Mustang and Fast Fords Magazine.
The cars design originates from the 1967 Trans Am Championship won by Carroll Shelby’s Shelby American, Ford Motors and Jerry Titus.
Over 1100 hours and $40,000 in parts were used including a 320 hp, 302 Ford crate motor, GT40 aluminum heads, high rise aluminum intake manifold, Holley 750 cfm, double pumper and Crane aluminum roller rockers.
Having just completed the 2013 Going To The Sun Rally this amazing car travelled 1,200 miles in 5 days and never missed a beat, suffering only a rock damaged windshield which has been replaced along with a new window gasket.
