Syllabus Phase I First Year BDS:
General Human Anatomy including Embryology,
Osteology and Histology
1. Introduction
2. Detailed Anatomy and Osteology of Head & Neck.
3. Gross Anatomy of Thorax, Abdomen and Extremities.
4. Embryology of Head, Neck with emphasis on development of face, jaws, tongue, a palates, salivary glands, pharyngeal arches and pouches. Lymphatic and blood a a vessel system. G.I. system.
5. Paranasal air sinuses.
6. (a) Gross Anatomy of the brain;
(b) Study of the Cranial nerves- in detail extra cranial course 5th, 7th and 9th a nerves and upper Cervical nerves.
7. Genetics: Fundamentals of Genetics.
8. Anthropology: General Principles.
